Research abstract

The following proposal is for the Phase II development of a single laser technology capable of generating deep-ultraviolet (0.193 ~m) and middle-infrared (3-5 ~m) wavelengths. This laser will be based on alexandrite pumped, lithium fluoride color-centerlaser technology successfully demonstrated as part of our Phase I effort (contract # DASG60-97-M-1001).This work will involve collaborations with Dr. Sergy Mirov of University of Alabama and with Dr. Gary Eden of University of Illinois. Dr. Mirov will work directly with Light Age to develop prototype 0.193 Nm and 3-5 mm laser modules for Light Age'scommercial 101 PAL^TM laser system. Dr Eden will evaluate the 0.193 Nm laser as a source for injection seeding an ArF excimer laser.Light Age, Inc. has obtained a
