Research abstract

A remote video system will be developed to collect video imagery for surveillance and/or data collection applications. However, Sigma's first task is to define all the parameters which affect the Mission Profile. This identification will allow for specification of the most efficient, reliable and cost-effective system components, thereby assuring the overall system integrity and operational efficiency. In addition to a high resolution black and white CCD camera and high resolution monitor and the automated motorized gimbal platform, the lensing requirement will be specified, video enhancement will be specified and human engineered controls will be integrated. A Sigma Dynamics 'DYNALENS' Stabilization Unit will be seized for lens, camera compatibility to provide cost-effective, less complex and technologically proven method of providing System Stabilization without stabilizing all the equipment mounted within the gimbal.
