Research abstract

Not Available Identification by radar of moving targets, including aircraft, ground vehicles, and ships, is difficult because their complex backscattering behavior is coupled with motion that is not smooth. The identification cannot be based on target shape and size alone. MARK Resources has developed an advanced radar signal processing technology for extracting detailed information about the target. It utilizes the return signal phase, which is usually discarded, and as a result it is capable of solving the identification problem. On this basis the Navy will have a reliable all-weather identification system that does not require the cooperation of the target.
