Research abstract

AN INNOVATIVE TECHNIQUE IS PROPOSED TO SIMULATE THE PERFORMANCE OF MULTIPLE-ACCESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS. A UNIQUE COMBINATION OF MONTE CARLO SIMULATION AND STATISTICALBOUNDING TECHNIQUES ARE USED TO INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY OF MULTIPLE-ACCESS MODELS. USE OF KNOWN STATISTICS IN THE SIMULATION MODEL REDUCE THE COMPUTATIONAL BURDEN. WHEN CLOSED-FORM EXPRESSIONS FOR PROBABILITY FUNCTIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, A RECENTLY DEVELOPED BOUNDING TECHNIQUE IS USED. THIS TECHNIQUE IS EXTENDED TO A LARGER CLASS OF PROBLEMS GIVING GREATER FLEXIBILITY THAN ANY OTHER HYBRID SIMULATOR.
