Research abstract

We will develop an on-line dosimetry system for use in Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). BNCT ipromising binary treatment for the control of cancer based on the 10B(n,alpha)7Li reaction which prothat destroy cancer cells. Knowledge of the reaction locations allows modification of the treatmenttherapeutic efficacy. Compton imaging and 3-D image reconstruction can be used for on-line dosimetrydensity distribution of the reactions by imaging the associated prompt 478-keV gamma ray. We bring atechnique for reconstruction of Compton camera 3-D images for measuring the spatial distribution ofkey performance parameters are spatial resolution and absorbed dose required to form an image.
