Research abstract

North Star Scientific (NSS) proposes to modify pre-existing technologies from L3Harris (L3H) to create a solution that will help the warfighter achieve assured communications for Network Enabled Weapons (NEW) and future devices. Existing L3H software called Terminal Operational Environment Simulator (TOES), which can be operated on a variety of computing resources (e.g. laptop, handheld device), already performs complete validation of Link 16 network designs. It will be modified under this effort to incorporate key tag validation to ensure data exchange compatibility across all platforms in the Link 16 network. As NEW evolve to incorporate additional waveforms, this solution can scale to validate additional mission configuration settings, all in a mobile form factor no larger than a laptop.
