Research abstract

MCP Urethanes propose to synthesize a filter capable of removing low levels ofhazardous metal ions such as mercury, lead, and zinc from industrial wastestreams. The filter will function by adsorption and chelation and be selectivefor the hazardous metal ions over the alkali and alkaline earth metal salts. Thefilter will insert directly into the industrial sewer. When fully loaded, thefilter will either be recycled or disposed.
