Research abstract

Permethrin is a highly effective insecticide and tick repellent. Due to its toxicity to humans, itcan not be repeatedly applied directly on the skin. The proposed work includes preparing differentformulations of Permethrin-based tick repellent that can be applied directly to the skin. These specialformulations are anticipated to reduce the toxicity of Permethrin while providing effective insect repellentactivity. Formulations containing different Permethrin concentrations and other physical properties willbe tested for their ability to prevent ticks from feeding on mice.
