Research abstract

The design of a simulation system to generate realistic signals in real time for the testing of airborne radars is proposed. The emphasis will be on the generation of angle of arrival signals, but all aspects of the problem will also be addressed, such as the ability to simulate realistic target, clutter, and ECM signals according to the requirements of the test. The design of a digital quadrature modulation technique will also be undertaken to solve one of the critical problems in the generation of radar signals.
