Research abstract
A batch mixing system that can operate in a semi-continuous mode best lends itself to our thermal management approach. We can demonstrate this approach allows for a rapid rate of MHP production with reduced complexity and levels of redundancy consistentwith reliable operation.Since the final MHP product will be sensitive to heat and contamination, equipment selection will have to be made accordingly. Safety issues regarding the handling of alkali solutions, concentrated hydrogen peroxide and MHP will have to be addressed insystem design. Provisions will have to be made to neutralize and dispose of system waste streams, as is practicable. Some solid wand liquid waste disposal will have to be addressed. In order for the system to be air-transportable and able to be rapidly assembled, it will have to be designed and fabricated as individual process modules. Each module will be pre-assembled, wired to electrical panels integral to the module andoperationally tested before deployment. Interconnections for power and controls between modules would be properly sized and configured
