Language Based Speech Recognition Module

Standard Object Systems, Inc. proposes the adaptation of its Standard Objects for Phonetic Speech Recognition software for the development of a language based speech recognition module that will enable efficient speech communications with a computer. The module will be a generic phonetic speech recognition system based on the international phonetic alphabet. It will support both discrete word recognition and continuous speaker independent recognition with automatic training for a multi lingual environment. SOS has experience in complex speech recognition tasks and the control of equipment using speech commands as shown by our previous projects. The adaptation of the existing phonetic speech recognition objects will be based in part on this prior work and on extensions unique to this application.
