Research abstract

General aviation aircraft sales reached 18,000 new aircraft per year in the late 1970's before dropping off to what it is today. The need for personal aviation transportation is still prevalent, and small single engine aircraft that are produced using low cost manufacturing techniques can provide the performance and safety needed to make general aviation one of the best ways to travel, yet meet the financial needs of the consumer.
