Research abstract

This project would build on the foundation established by WeBWork to integrate materials for the teaching of calculus developed by Dr. Timothy Cottrell of the Harley School in Rochester, New York and add new prototype functionality designed to engage students more actively in the learning process by asking dynamic interactive questions and enabling a sophisticated interactive graphing tool, while adding response specific feedback to all question types. The implementation of the immediate response specific feedback, the innovation question types and the tutorial materials will enhance current instructional approaches by improving student experiences with independent practice and homework assignments.
