Research abstract
Fractal Antenna Systems, Inc. has employed a proprietary fractalcoded genetic optimization algorithm to identify very broadband, small footprint antenna candidates for non-intrusive conformalvehicular antennas. The proposed Phase II effort will extendthese results by fabricating, modifying, and improving thesecandidates followed by testing them in the lab and in a realisticenvironment for USMC signal intelligence operations. Thedeliverable antennas will be extremely broadband; relativelysmall in form factor; window mountable; and produced onconformable membrane substrate. The fabrication of such antennasalso will lead to commercial use in UWB; security, and
