Research abstract

Initial developmental research focussed on creating epoxy resin systems which exhibited an ability to reflow several times along the path to full cure so long as the Cure Temperature remained 20 to 30 deggrees below the Glass Transition Temeprature as the Tg fluctuated during cure. Although the process rheology is not yet fully understood, the fundamental chemistry is sound. Demonstrated "Out-Times" of Thirty months at room temperature have produced prepregs with excellent track, drape, and flow which readily consolidate into a high-quality laminate panels which may be thermoplasticly manipulated and reshaped several times before reaching a fully cured state.
