Research abstract
This is an exploratory development effort which demonstrates a method for integrating the existing base of independently developed decision aids. It uses a set of military trackers in a solution which can be transposed to business decision aids. Dissimilar algorithms, whose products contribute to a cohesive intellectual paradigm, will be integrated. The question this effort will answer is: "Can independently developed decision models be integrated, ad-hoc, so that an operator can apply each interactively?" The specific objectives of Phase I are: 1. Demonstrate an analysis methodology for the integration; 2. Simulate the Model Management integration; and 3. Demonstrate the "integrated" decision aid system. Our techncial approach is: 1. Decompose existing, well studied, trackers intodefining graphs; 2. Create hypercard stacks that establish the relations among input, output, constraint and operations objects; 3. Simulate the intersection of the tracker parameters in a demonstration; and 4. Report the reception of the mock-up by users.
