Research abstract

The research plan is intended to provide a means to capture existing legacy carcinogenesis data conNIH Publication 91-3243, formerly PHS Publication 149, survey of compounds which have been tested foActivity, to compact optical disc. Multimedia, hypertext, and other computer software techniques wilprovide unprecedented access to this existing data by researchers, and to provide the framework forcarcinogenesis and other data which can be archived. The Phase I research objectives listed in the ridentification of the characteristics of carcinogenesis research data, develop a top level design foCarcinogenesis Research Data system, and demonstrate a prototype of this design. The characteristicsexamined to determine the potential for expanding the proposed system to cover other types of legacyis significant commercial potential for the results of this research and development through the comthe resulting product to cancer researchers and business organizations worldwide, and the adaptationelectronically capture and distribute a wide range of research data.
