Research abstract

NON-TECHNICAL SUMMARY: Prior attempts to develop and commercialize a lightweight fiberboard panel with widespread market acceptance have faltered due to lack of a cost-efficient, industrially robust manufacturing process or to significant limitations in product performance properties. This project will advance the dry-formed TrussCore process to an anticipated favorable assessment of Industrial Feasibility as a source of uniquely cost-competitive and precise lightweight wood composite panel products with excellent end-use performance attributes and widespread applications in North American commercial and government markets.
