Research abstract

ScenPro, Inc. is pleased to provide this Phase II SBIR. Our proposed Phase IIAgent Supported Information Visualization system provides the platoon, squad, and individual warrior with relevant mission and role specific information for mission planning and execution. The Agent Supported Information Visualization system supports thedevelopment of a mission management information plan for the small unit using automated data capture, mission specific data acquisition, agent supported intelligent processing, and task-centric displays. Our system leverages emerging technologies for agentcommunication, extended markup for text and other media information such as XML and DAML, interoperability grids such as CoABS, and middleware services for agent communication and matchmaking. The proposed information system will interact with usersthrough personal computers and digital assistants. The prototype system delivered at the completion of Phase II will provide a reconfigurable handheld computer capability, tailorable to the user role and mission and extensible to new small unitapplications.
