Research abstract

ADP activates and promotes aggregation of platelets in hemostasis and thrombosis. This applicationdevelop a high-throughput screening assay to identify novel ADP-receptor antagonists. The assay willof a high-affinity radioligand to using 96-well microtiter plates. The assay will be validated for ssynthetic compounds. This assay may lead to a Phase II proposal for the performance of high-throughpidentification and characterization of ADP receptor antagonists. Based on this lead, novel orally acmay be developed for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
