Research abstract

The Next Generation Internet will be 100 to 1000 times faster than today's internet. It will also be functionally richer and will have a more secure environment. This new, and still evolving, technology base can and will have a profound impact on the wayorganizations operate. Collaborative software is another budding technology that will have a significant impact on businesses by making it easier for people that may be either geographically, or cubically, dispersed to work together. And Virtual Officeswill continue to evolve and be used to provide a framework for more effectively using collaborative software. This project examines how advances being made to the Internet will impact Virtual Office concepts.
