Research abstract

Lasers are used in many different applications from military to medical systems. In almost every case the laser output is "application specific" to the point that it cannot be readily transferred to another use. Some industrial laster systems can change their pulswidth, but these systems are large, complex and sensitive to small environmental changes. It is also known that materials react differently to different wavelengths (colors) of light and different energy levels. Hi-Shear Technology Corp. proposes a dual energy level/wavelength laser system that combines both commercial and military features. This system will be a small, modular unit that can potentially replace the larger, heavier and higher prices systems currently in use.
