Research abstract

"Argon Engineering Associates proposes to create a prototype threat warning visualization that integrates key features of signal threat characteristics into a battlefield and Geographic Information System intensive environment. This is accomplished duringan iterative approach during Phase I with the establishment of a visualization laboratory for Human-Computer Interface (HCI) evaluation. By rigorously applying object oriented methodologies, Argon Engineering will develop the threat warning software as asuite of tools and applications that can be easily integrated. The applications will be developed using the JAVA programming language where possible and packaged into JAVA Beans and/or CORBA objects to facilitate use in heterogeneous distributed computingenvironments.
