Research abstract

MRC proposes to develop a Windows Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the Army's EOSAEL atmospheric code library. MRC will draw on its extensive knowledge gained during its ongoing implementation of the Air Force's Phillips Laboratory Expert Unified Software (PLEXUS) suite; a collection of atmospheric propagation codes including LOWTRAN, MODTRAN, and SHARC. For the proposed Army Windows EOSAEL System, MRC will: Implement common data file formats for the code library. Develop the main interface and a task manager. Develop GUIs for problem definition, data entry, and output analysis. Implement an Expert System. Develop on-line help and documentation. Perform a market analysis for the Phase III product. For the Phase I effort the Combined Obscuration Model for Battlefield Induced Contaminants (COMBIC92) will be implemented as a prototype with "hooks" for the additional EOSAEL modules.
