Research abstract

Scientific Research Corporation (SRC) proposes to develop a digital implementation of a mechanical (analog-electronic) compression filter. The replacement filter will consist of an A/D converter, digital filter circuitry, a D/A converter, and the gain and filtering circuitry required to optimize the system. An analysis of the current system will be performed to determine the feasibility of such an implementation, determine specifications of each of the components, and the topology of the digital filter. Digital Signal Processing development software will be used to develop and test the digital filter.
