Research abstract

Reveo has invented a new optical element called Polarizing Wavelength Separator (PWS), which eliminates most sources of inefficiency, and when used with a new LCD architecture, results in at least a factor of 10 improvement in light efficiency, thereby also leading to reduction in weight and size. The PWS element converts the unpolarized white light to an array of polarized (h(p)>90%) light strips that are spectrally separated (h(f)>90%) and spatially separated (h(ff)>95%).
