Research abstract
"Special Operations Command wants to employ innovative, secure systems to enable real time communications with Special Forces Operations Combatant Craft deployed anywhere in the world. Communication structure must have sufficient bandwidth to enablecommand structure decision making, to monitor craft and personnel status, and to enable real-time failure analysis and in some cases, correction of deficiencies that critically impact mission performance. In addition to collecting and transmittinginformation from the IBS, Innovative Concepts proposes to deploy a system of secure communications using IDM TechnologyT on board the combatant craft that would increase situational awareness by incorporating data from remote locations such as videoimagery, AWACS input, UAV data, and other real-time data available to the command structure. Once the protocol becomes a commercial standard, it could be applied to hundreds, if not thousands, of uses in the mobile wireless business. Innovative Conceptswould continue development of the concept in our area of expertise, seamless mobile connectivity. Any entity that needs to move fast, in and out of networks, without having to worry about connectivity would benefit from this effort. Military, government, and civilian agencies involved in law enforcement, recovery operations or other types of activities requiring secure, reliable, mobile communications would benefit."
