To ensure safety, it is essential to monitor foods for microbial pathogens. Campylobacter jejuni ancoli are significant food-borne pathogens of humans. In the United States, the estimated annual inci2 million cases costing almost one billion dollars in health care cost and lost productivity. Currenof Campylobacter in foods require isolation, cultivation, and biochemical characterization, thus makand laborious. Immunological detection methods are available; however, they lack the sensitivity thacultivation. Signal amplification has been demonstrated to mind, we will produce a prototype immunoaCampylobacter utilizing the DNA target amplification method known as the ligase chain reaction for sThis methodology should be extremely sensitive and specific as well as require a modicum of hands-onHEALTH CARE FINANCING ADMINISTRATION (HCFA)
