THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROPOSAL IS TO DEMONSTRATE THE FEASIBILITY OF USING A DATA COMPRESSION AND EXPANSION SCHEME ON GEOPHYSICAL DATA TO ACHIEVE DATA FLOW OF SUCH DATA BETWEEN AND AMONG NAVY SHIPS AND NAVY SHORE SITE WITH A AVAILABLE NAVY COMMUNICATIONS CHANNELS. THE SCHEME WILL BE BASED ON FRACTAL TRANSFORM TECHNOLOGY - DATA REPRESENTATIVE OF THAT USED IN NAVY ENVIRONMENTAL SUPPORT SYSTEMS WILL BE IDENTIFED AND OBTAINED.
