Research abstract

This Small Business Innovation Research Phase I project focuses on developing a novel scaleable process to produce advanced ceramics from agricultural materials such as rice husk cost effectively. Using such a processing approach, several of processing steps used to produce value added ceramics will be eliminated which will lead to a substantial cost reduction. Nanomaterials Research Corporation (NRC) will, during Phase I, demonstrate the proof-of-concept. Phase II will optimize the technology, while Phase III will commercialize this technology.
