Research abstract
This project develops web-based educational software (Knowledge Athletes Platform - orKAP) for use in inclusive education settings. The software supports the participation of students whoare deaf, hard of hearing, or have disabilities affecting auditory processing and experience difficulty inoral communication. KAP provides teachers with new opportunities to engage their classes online inintellectual endeavors and educationally relevant dialogues without having to rely on verbal communication.It capitalizes on a number of promising new technologies and an application previously developedby Knowledge Athletes.
