Research abstract

The objective of this task is to develop a transient waveform data acquisition system for IR lidar sensors. The proposed data acquisition system will incorporate a wide bandwidth front end amplifier (possibly with a time-varying gain capability), a high speed analog to digital converter, sample buffer memory, and programmable trigger outputs on a single card. The card may also include a DSP unit for realtime processing. It will interface to a high speed bus such as EISA and will be designed to support high throughput rates. Canetics will apply the experience gained during a related lidar project that it recently completed for the Air force to the proposed task.
