Research abstract

To do high-level parallelization of Fortran programs requires developing a knowledge base describing the large-scale structure and idioms of the source program. By building on the technology that Seki has developed for its parallel programmers' workbench, SekiVieW, Seki will be able to leverage the high-level parallelization knowledge base in developing the translator. Seki proposes to demonstrate that a translator based on the SekiVieW technology can do strategic program restructuring deriving inherent data structures from non or poorly structured code.
