Research abstract
In this proposal we intend to modify an existing Micro-PPT to use an energetic propellent known as ECESP. The fuel ignites and burns only when electrical current is applied. It also survives the electrical discharge of a Pulsed Plasma Thruster withoutcarbonization or charring. By appling to different type of electrical current, we can force the thruster to operate in an eletrcothermal or electromagnetic mode. With this advancement one ACS thruster can now do two jobs. Thus saving the mass of a secondsystem.
