Research abstract

This project seeks to develop a simple, MR compatible, mechanical infusion pump that employs a consnon-magnetic spring to squeeze a syringe. Contrast medium infusion rate is determined by the springcontrast viscosity, and the resistance of either a small calibre needle or precision orifice accordiBernoulli Effect. Sequential saline flush is provided by a customized tubing set with a standard ivoptimization of the pump components and testing in an MR scanner will be performed.
