Research abstract

The main objective of Phase I is to produce specifications for a system with the capability of simulating individual and group decision making in contexts that are (a) collaborative, (b) multi-cultural, (c) uncertain, and (d) time stressed. The maintechnical goals are testing the feasibility of generalizing a method for eliciting and representing knowledge to the representation of transaction mental models and interaction strategies in a cross-cultural context, to extend and generalize algorithms forstrategy selection to the selection of interactive strategies, and to model the results in a rapid, parallel computational environment. In Phase I, we will lay the groundwork for the construction and validation of a prototype system in Phase II. TBD
