Research abstract

With increasing budgetary concerns and decreasing performance in science, high schools are seeking alternate approaches of providing traditional laboratory experiences in a safer, more interesting, and cost efficient manner. Most science educators agree that inquiry-based learning is an important part of science education. As such, the proposed product to be developed by Select-O-Sep, LLC is an electronic chemistry laboratory workbook (ECLW) with tactile interface hardware that can be used as a supplement, or an alternative to, laboratory chemistry teaching.
