Research abstract

This proposal addresses Four-Dimensional Oceanographic Instrumentation in the form of an Ultra Wide Band Synthetic Aperture Radar for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UWBSAR/UAV.) The intent is to provide a low cost source of a wide variety of near-shore oceanographic information that is needed by naval and civil agencies by taking advantage of existing Ultra Wide Band coherent SARs to provide a highly modular system that can easily be tailored to the UAV and the specific mission at hand.
