Research abstract
We are proposing to develop unique and innovative Passive Missile Warning signature processing algorithms to meet threat identificationneeds and optimize IRCM protection for today's military and civilian aircraft from the early generation AND today's advanced IR missilethreats. Our missile identification algorithm concepts concentrate on real time situational awareness processing of rocket motor radiatedemissions, flight profiles kinematic characteristics and aircraft flight computer data to downsize the potential threat list to smaller moremanageable lists for optimized tactical IRCM initiation. As the IR threat technologies advance, they also become more difficult to defeat from an IRCM perspective. It would be invaluable to know thetype of missile being launched in terms of being able to narrow down the list of countermeasure techniques needed to be implemented toachieve the required aircraft protection levels.Commercialization of the rocket motor identification technology will involve product development, marketing and distribution of the associatedMWS upgrades for both military and commercial IRCM applications. Primary candidates for commercialization of our MWS upgradetechnology is for commercial aircraft, executive jets and Head of State IRCM applications.
