Research abstract

The practical use of 3-D whole body surface data is being applied to the apparel industry for clothing fit and design. Automated methods of data extraction are sought to provide a more convenient and consistent analysis. This project aims to develop techniques that automatically compute a representative set of body measurements. Targeted for the PC platform, a software deliverable will allow a user to compute body measurements from customer provided 3-D whole body scan data.
