Research abstract
The primary objectives of this Phase I effort are (1) The development of a plan to interface all EOSAEL modules to a PC/Windows environment and (2) A demonstration of that plan by development of a prototype interface for the COMBIC module. The resultant COMBIC software will be resident on CD ROM, as will all the EOSAEL modules by the end of Phase II. SPARTA, Inc. proposes to use either of two commercially available software development tool-kits to develop the required Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs). SPARTA recommends that Neuron Data's Open Interface tool-kit be chosen so that all GUIs developed for the PC in this effort are also easily portable to other host computers (e.g., Macintosh, Sun).
