Research abstract

The EPA requires that all gasoline sold in the United States must contain deposit control fuel additives. Most other countries also require that their gasoline contain deposit control additives. Currently these fuel additives are relatively expensive and are made from non-renewable petroleum based feedstocks. This project will examine the effectiveness of using a soybean oil based compound as a deposit control fuel additive in gasoline.
