Research abstract

Mission Research Corporation will develop design techniques for Frequency Selective Filter ( FSF ) radomes with special emphasis on high power applications. Three different FSF radomes will be designed: band pass, low pass, and compensated low pass. Electromagnetic calculations will be performed with PMM and Maxwell Eminence. High voltage breakdown as well as dielectric and conductor losses will be calculated. Temperatures, stresses, and deformations will be calculated using COSMOS. A set of design guidelines for high power FSF radomes will be developed. A simple FSF panel will be fabricated and tested in order to perform some basic computer model validation.
