Research abstract

Triton's team proposes to develop a conformal RF antenna technology incorporating polymeric materials that can be used in a variety of applications from fabric-based solider antennas to antennas that can be applied in the field to a variety of surfaces. Inphase I, we will evaluate the integrity of the proposed conformal RF antennas, in terms o fatigue, creasing and launderability. In phase II, we will design and fabricate several prorotype antennas that can be used for a variety of applications from warableto field deployable. In phase III, we will also verify the performance of these antennas through laboratory and field-testing. The proposed technology will be used by both land and sea based Special Operations Forces and may be useful for programs such asSmall Unit Operations.
