Research abstract
Human bone marrow microenvironment plays an important role both in the maintenance of pluripotenthematopoietic stem cells, and in the regulation of hemopoiesis resulting in the development of circuthe exit of various blood cell types, and for homing of hematopoietic stem cells into BM. These evensoluble cytokines and specific cell adhesion molecules. BM microenvironment consisting of fibroblastmacrophage, adipocytes, and osteoclasts are called by the generic term stromal cells. We will develocell lines of all of the stromal cell types. These cell lines will be developed by transfecting BM mdifferent combination of oncogenes using a high efficiency non-virus based gene transfer technologyClonexpress, followed by selection in appropriate growth media. These cell lines would be useful tonecessary for the maintenance and amplification of a universal donor pluripotent hematopoietic stemand cell therapy applications to combat genetically inherited and acquired diseases.
