Research abstract
The purpose of this project is to develop software for use by the Army in the planning and/or conduct of missile test and similar operations. This software will assist in the quantification of risk associated with aircraft operating in the proximity of launch and flight test activities. We intend i phase I to demonstrate the technical feasibility of our application and the capability of the team to develop and commercialize the results of the software in phases II and III. DCH tEchnology has teamed with Sandia International Laboratory (SNL) which has extensive technical capability i this area. The DCH personnel involved include: an aircraft specialist, an emergency management specialist, software and applications engineers. Our approach is the adaptation of SNL's non-developmental techniques and models in the context of an investigation of the availability and applicability of NOAA and other databases. A straightforward approach has been proposed which supports the Army's requirements.
