Research abstract

OPTIMUS and Dunlap have been working together to develop for NHTSA a system analogous to the one sought in 00-FH1. The Problem Driver Detection System (PDDS) is a traffic safety, alert system consisting of a watch-sized transmitter worn by the subject and a low cost , receiver/antenna unit for police cars, which together alert the police to nearby driving while suspended subjects. Having this development experience, traffic safety expertise, and the existing system will permit the OPTIMUS team to minimize the PAS system development risk by performing meaningful analysis and testing in Phase I.
