Research abstract

Impact Technologies, in cooperation with the Honeywell F-35 PTMS development team, propose the development, customization and implementation of a software simulation environment specifically focused on the integrated modeling of the F-35 PTMS (PowerThermal Management System), but can be applied across various vehicle subsystems. The proposed fault simulation and analysis test bench will be used to rigorously evaluate the failure mode interactions between all LRU and subsystems of systems such as thePTMS. The integrated software simulation demonstrated in Phase I within the Matlab/Simulink software will be further developed and applied to the F-35 PTMS with capability of failure mode modeling, full dynamic simulation, functional subsysteminteraction, and provide PHM algorithm interface
