Research abstract

THIS PROPOSAL DESCRIBES SEARCH TECHNOLOGY'S UNDERSTANDING OF THE CHALLENGES TO PROVIDING CONTROLS AND DISPLAY SUPPORT AS PART OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUPERMANEUVERABILITY TECHNOLOGY IN ADVANCED FIGHTER AIRCRAFT. IT DESCRIBES WHAT WE BELIEVE TO BE THE CRITICAL DETAILS OF COCKPIT DESIGN CRITERIA FOR FULLY EXPLOITING SUPER-MANEUVERABLE CAPABILITES AND ACHIEVING THE TECHNICAL OBJECTIVE OF THIS RESEARCH EFFORT. A TECHNICAL PLAN IS OFFERED THAT WILL IDENTIFY PILOT CONSTRAINED CONTROL AND DISPLAY REQUIRMENTS FOR SUPPORTING AND IMPLEMENTING SUPER MANEUVERABILITY AND WILL DEVELOP DESIGN CONCEPTS THAT ADDRESS THE CRITICAL DETAILS OF COCKPIT DESIGN TECHNOLOGY FOR THIS APPLICATION.
