Research abstract

Not Available The objective of this Phase I SBIR study is to produce a detailed examination of the Cooperative Engagement Capability with respect to identifying the areas in which system problems, such as sneak circuits, exist. Primary emphasis will be on the Cooperative Engagement Processor design that resulted in the creation of sneak circuits and the test procedures that failed to identify them at an early stage in the development. Consideration will also be given to the associated combat systems and tactical data links. A secondary objective of the proposed Phase I study is to investigate object-oriented analysis and design techniques that may be used to develop future CEP functionality (e.g., unit/sensor independence) in such a way as to avoid the creation of sneak circuits.
